Zane E. Hutzell

HUTZELL – Zane E., 80, South Fork, died July 29, 2023. Born August 10, 1942, in South Fork; son of Melvin and Elizabeth A. (Collins) Hutzell. Preceded in death by parents; and his beloved Parrot, Squeakers.

Survived by loving wife of 59 years, Janet “Cookie” (Holdsworth), whom he married October 21, 1963; sisters, Shirley Moore, Sally Johnson, and Sunday Dolan; numerous nieces and nephews; and his special dog, Honeybun.

Member of South Fork First Evangelical Church (formerly South Fork First UMC) and graduate of Triangle Area High School, class of 1962. Zane was US Army veteran of the Vietnam War and a retired letter carrier with the USPS. He was an animal lover, enjoyed riding his motorcycle on the open roads, and “Sunday” drives in the car.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. Thursday at Charles O. Dimond Funeral Home, Inc., South Fork; the Reverend Randy Landman presiding.

Interment, South Fork Cemetery.
