SPRINKLE – William George, 78, Seward, died at his daughter’s home surrounded by loving family, May 31, 2016. Born Feb. 22, 1938, in Luciusboro, son of Charles W. S. and Margaret Emma (McGarvey) Sprinkle.
Preceded in death by parents; wife, Sandra J. (Price) Sprinkle, who died, Aug. 11, 2013; infant son, Patrick Earl; grandson, Josh Custer; sister, Arlene Simone and brothers, Richard, Raymond and Charles.
Survived by children, William David, Seward; Michael Scott and wife, Charyl, Northern Cambria; Robert Lee and wife, Tammy, Monongahela; Sherri Lynn, engaged to Robert Enos, Somerset; and Christy, married to Mark Collier, Daisytown; numerous beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sisters, Anna Mae Hammond, Cleveland, Ohio; Betty Jane Mattis, Windber; and Karen Siembak, Johnstown; and special lifelong friends, Tom Valeri and Butch Collier.
Bill was a US Army veteran of the Korean War and a retired welder from Bethlehem Steel, Franklin Mills. He was a ruthless poker player, found both enjoyment and frustration in playing golf, was a talented craftsman and woodworker, and was a fearless dirt track race car driver. His family and friends will hold dear memories of a loving, kind and generous man who was full of life and laughter and gave all that he could to his family.
Friends will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday and from 10 a.m. until time of funeral service at 11 a.m. Saturday at Charles O. Dimond Funeral Home, Inc., South Fork.
Interment, Bethel Cemetery, Clyde, Pa.
