KOLAR – William G., 79, South Fork, died April 16, 2022. Born April 21, 1942, in St. Michael, son of the late Nicholas Sr. and Ruth (Patterson) Kolar.
Survived by wife of 57 years, Judith A. (Hendrickson), whom he married, October 17, 1964; daughters, Debbie, wife of Daryl Lucas, Beaverdale; and Melissa, wife of Ron Rozsi, Vinco; grandchildren, Nathan and Kaitlyn; siblings, Joanne Hufford, Chicago, Illinois; Nicholas Jr., married to Sally (Rhoads), St. Michael; and Patricia, wife of Donald Schmidt, St. Michael; uncle, John Patterson, Salix; and numerous nieces and nephews. Graduate of Adams - Summerhill High School, class of 1960.
Bill served as an MP in the US Army during the Vietnam era and was stationed in Florida during the Cuban Missile Crisis. He was a member of St. Michael UMC and frequently attended services at Elton Zion UMC. Bill retired from United Metals after 42 years of service. He enjoyed camping and fishing and collecting American Flyer model trains.
Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday and from 10 a.m. until service at 11 a.m. Friday at Charles O. Dimond Funeral Home, Inc., South Fork, the Reverend Daryl Penrod presiding.
Interment, Forest Lawn Cemetery, Johnstown. Military graveside service by St. Michael American Legion Post 551.
