Victor J., 69, Cresson, died February 23, 2017 at home. Born February 6, 1948, Munster Road, Portage, son of Frank and Mary (Ritchick) Gressick. Preceded in death by parents; infant sister, Donna Marie; sisters, Mildred Wirostek, Marion Porter, Rosella Ugljesa, Clara Freese, Eleanor Yusko, Esther Ward, Henrietta Clemens, Bernadette Greene and Phyllis Fill; and brother, Carl Gressick.
Survived by wife of 43 years, Janice S. (Burkett) Gressick, whom he married December 22, 1973; daughter, Kara, Cresson; sons, Ross, Columbus, OH and Todd Gressick, Raleigh, NC; brother of Paul and Dennis, both of Munster; and Christine Ott, Mosier, OR; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Victor was a graduate of Cresson Joint High School class of 1967 followed by electrical technology at Johnstown VoTech. He was a Navy Veteran of the Vietnam War and was a splicing technician for Verizon. A member of Grace Bible Church, Hollidaysburg. He was a talented woodworker and even built his own wooden kayak. He loved hunting, fishing, kayaking and spending time with his family and friends.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Charles O. Dimond Funeral Home, Inc., 621 Maple Street, South Fork.
Viewing also at Grace Bible Church, 164 Laurel Lane, Hollidaysburg, from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. Saturday, Pastor Daren Ritchey officiating.
