Theressa C. Stravinsky

STRAVINSKY – Theressa C., 93, St. Michael, died October 24, 2019, at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center. Born January 13, 1926, in Beaverdale, daughter of Frank and Catherine (Parks) Amis. Preceded in death by parents; husband, Frank Stravinsky, who died July 9, 1994; granddaughter, Kimberly Nalepa; and sister, Agnes M. Heverly.

Loving mother of Patricia M, wife of Richard Thomas, Bowie, Maryland; Frances C. “Tanny” May, Clarksville, Maryland; Gay T., wife of Kenneth Sweltz, Sidman; and son, Guy J., married to Patricia (Graham), Havre de Grace, Maryland; grandmother of Paul (Cindy) Nalepa, Christy (Jay) Rao, Lisa (Tim) Erskine, Laura Sweltz, and Jacob Sweltz; great-grandmother of Kim, Nicole, Kayla, Alex, Aaron, and Elizabeth; great-great-grandmother of Ava and Sawyer Rose; and sister of Patricia Oshaben, Grand Rapids, Michigan.

She was a graduate of Beaverdale High School, class of 1946 and a member of St. Michael Catholic Church, St. Michael. Theressa enjoyed making delicious baked goods, crafting lovely handmade jewelry, and arranging beautiful floral bouquets for family and friends.

Friends will be received from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Charles O. Dimond Funeral Home, Inc., South Fork, where vigil will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 12:30 p.m. Monday at St. Michael Catholic Church, Monsignor David Lockard, Celebrant.
