Terry W. Duffy

DUFFY – Terrence W. “Terry”, 74, Ferndale, died July 29, 2023. Born February 12, 1949, in Johnstown; son of Francis and Claire (Hettle) Duffy. Preceded death by parents; and sisters-in-laws, Kay (Frawley) and Sandy (Marshall) Duffy.

Survived by longtime companion, Holly Matisik; siblings, F. Daniel, M.D.; James, PhD.; Susan, wife of Gerald Moses; Mary Catherine Duffy; Timothy, married to Marie (DeBarto); and Rebecca Duffy, engaged to Larry Perdeus; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Graduate of Ferndale Area High School, class of 1967. Terry was a US Army combat veteran of the Vietnam War. He was a talented drummer, having played with several national bands; and enjoyed sharing his love of magic with others. His family and friends will hold dear memories of a loving, kind and generous man who was full of life, laughter, and a bit of blarney.

Friends will be received from 9:30 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Charles O. Dimond Funeral Home, Inc., South Fork; Pastor Nancy Hoover, presiding.
