Stuart Jay Harshberger

HARSHBERGER – Stuart Jay, 67, Geistown, died April 6, 2021 at home, surrounded by loving family. Born July 13, 1953 in Pittsburgh, son of the late Calvin Jay and Betty Jane “Jane” (Mapstone) Harshberger.

Survived by loving wife of 44 years, Susan J. (Geiser) Harshberger, whom he married May 15, 1976; children, Melissa, wife of Shawn Ramirez, Westmont; Joshua, married to Mandy (O’Brien), Lancaster; and Jason, married to Bryna (Bagley), Derry; grandchildren, Reese and Roman Ramirez; Gavin and Dean Harshberger; and Torin Harshberger; sisters, Sandra Polanco, Raleigh, North Carolina; Jayne Ann, wife of Ivon James, Wilmington, North Carolina; and Tina Comingore, Largo, Florida; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Stuart was a graduate of Forest Hills High School, class of 1972 and began his railroading career shortly thereafter. He worked for PRR, Conrail, and retired from Norfolk Southern. He was an avid sportsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Charles O. Dimond Funeral Home, Inc., South Fork; where funeral service will be held at 12 noon Saturday, the Reverend John Ciampa presiding.

Interment, Richland Cemetery.
