Stella M. Miller

MILLER – Stella M., 92, Wilmore, passed away peacefully June 5, 2020, at home surrounded by family. Born January 12, 1928, in Johnstown; daughter of Percy and Helen (Mauthe) Huffman.

Preceded in death by parents; husband, Paul R. Miller, who died March 1, 1996; son-in-law, Dr. Edwin Cacayorin; infant granddaughter, Lisa Marie Cacayorin; sister, Helen Webb; and brother, Charles Huffman.

Survived by son, David, married to Kathy (McIntyre), Wilmore; daughters, Donna Miller, York; Nancy, wife of Gary Korber, Seven Valleys; and Susan, wife of Barri Gramling, Wilmore; grandchildren, Jason (Noelle) Miller, Eric Miller, Holly (Chris) Ducane, Eddie (Veronica) Corrin, Laura Corrin, Kelly (Jeff) Beyer, Michelle (Matt) Chverchko, Erin Brown, and Alyssa Gramling; and eighteen great-grandchildren.

Graduate of Johnstown High School, class of 1945. She was a devout Catholic and active member of St. Bartholomew Catholic Church and their St. Anne’s Society. She was a tireless worker who together with her husband owned and operated Miller’s Greenhouse for a generation. She was an avid bowler in the Ladies Catholic League, with several championship seasons under her belt. She loved to plant and she loved to harvest, she loved to travel and she loved to come home, she loved to hug grandkids and she loved when they hugged her. And though we are saddened by the loss of her warmth, her laughter, her strength; we will always hold dear the love she shared.

Friends will be received from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Charles O. Dimond Funeral Home, Inc., South Fork.

A private Funeral Mass will be celebrated by Father Joseph C. Nale at St. Bartholomew Catholic Church, Wilmore.
