SOFLARSKY - Stanley J. “Stush,” 85, South Fork, died December 8, 2017, at Richland Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center. Born January 26, 1932, in Nanty Glo, son of Nellie (Solarczyk) Soflarsky-Smoluch and Joseph Soflarsky. Preceded in death by parents; brother, Frank A. Soflarsky; step-son, Steven A. Kishlock; and step-father, Stanley Smoluch.
Survived by loving wife of 51 years, Ethel P. (Peters) Soflarsky, whom he married October 15, 1966; daughter, Lori, wife of Lance Millar, Hummelstown; step-son, Robert Kishlock, Mineral Point; grandchildren, Nicole (Jamie) Weakland, Rachel Kishlock (Kenny), Patrick Kishlock (Carrie), and Hudson, Lucas and Hope Millar; 5 great-grandchildren; brother, Raymond and his wife Rose, Nanty Glo; sister-in-law, Irma Soflarsky, Nanty Glo; daughter-in-law, Bonnie (Haney) Kishlock, Johnstown; and numerous nieces, nephews and other beloved family and friends.
Member of Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church, South Fork. Stush was a US Army veteran of the Korean Conflict. He retired from the car shop at Bethlehem Steel. Also a member of American Polish Club, Nanty Glo; and American Legion Post 653, South Fork.
Friends will be received from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Monday at Charles O. Dimond Funeral Home, Inc., South Fork.
Funeral Mass to follow at 11 a.m. Monday at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Father Joseph C. Nale, Celebrant.
