As an aunt she was a source of joy and laughter and made sure everyone knew just how important they were to her. Her kindness, loyalty, and authenticity were qualities that drew people to her, and those who called her a friend knew they had a person who would always stand by them. Shelly was a graduate of Forest Hills High School, class of 2007 and studied cosmetology at Greater Johnstown Vo-Tech. She had worked for Sunset Support Services, where her patience and genuine compassion made her an amazing advocate and caregiver for those with intellectual and developmental differences. She loved her pets! And when it came to makeup and hair, she had a special touch, helping people feel beautiful, inside and out. Shelley loved God, lived her life with an open heart, and was always ready to help, to listen, to laugh, and to love.
A memorial gathering to celebrate her life will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Tuesday at Charles O. Dimond Funeral Home, Inc., South Fork.
