Sara Jean Wise

WISE - Sara Jean, 78, Summerhill, formerly of Southmont, died March 15, 2017 at home. Born August 5, 1938, in Johnstown, daughter of Dr. George H. and Evelyn G. (Reed) Hudson. Preceded in death by parents; first husband, Raymond L. Leach, who died December 17, 1971; infant twin daughters, Jean and Joan Leach, daughter, Evelyn; and son, George Wise.

Survived by children, Paul, married to Laura (Duckworth), Pittsburgh; Philip, South Fork; Linda, wife of Michael Geiser, Westmont; Suzanne, wife of Bradley Bosshart, Pittsburgh; Jon, married to Tiffany (Sinclair); and Bruce, married to Erin (Haberl), all of Summerhill; grandchildren, Lindsay, Jamie, Theo, Joseph, Riley, Hannah, Ella, Shayla, and Macy; and daughter-in-law, Roxanne (Meyer) Wise.

Sara Jean was a graduate of Mount Aloysius Academy, class of 1957, and a member of St. John’s Catholic Church, Summerhill.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Charles O. Dimond Funeral Home, Inc., South Fork, where vigil will be held at 3 p.m. Friday.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. John’s by Fr. Leon Hont, OSB.

Following cremation a committal service will be held in the spring at Grandview Cemetery, Johnstown.
