Sandra E. Hoyer

HOYER – Sandra E., 76, Sidman, died August 4, 2020 at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center. Born June 22, 1944 in Sidman, daughter of Andy and Norma (Gerlisky) Selepak.

Preceded in death by parents; son, Ronald W. Hoyer Jr., who died December 2, 1982; in-laws, Leo and Hazel (Miller) Hoyer; sister, Barbara Sedlemeyer; and brothers-in-law, Wally Stupi and Jack Gearity.

Survived by loving husband of 57 years, R. Wayne Hoyer; son, Keith married to Dawnetta (Grow) Hoyer; grandchildren, Jessica (Christopher) Kutruff; Kaitlyn (Jeffery) Leach; and Jonathan Hoyer; great grandchildren, Raelynn and Rylee Kutruff; sister, Andrea Stupi, Livonia, Michigan; in-laws, Ray and Barb Hoyer, St. John, Indiana; Carl and Delores Franchic, Shippensburg; Linda Gearity, Fayettville; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other loved ones.

Graduate of Adams High School, class of 1962. She was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church. Sandy worked as a secretary for Associated Builders from 1962 until she became co-owner with her husband and eventually her son in 1975 till present at Hercules / Indiana Rustproofing. From 1983 to 2001 they acquired Main Street Chevrolet, Carrolltown. She worked at Empire Foundation as secretary from 2003 to 2019. Sandy loved swimming, watching the Steelers and Penguins, and vacationing with her family. Her family will cherish deeply her memory and times spent together, and we are comforted knowing she has rejoined her loved ones who have gone before her.

Friends will be received from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday at Charles O. Dimond Funeral Home, Inc., South Fork, where vigil will be held at 3:30 p.m. Friday.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Michael Catholic Church, St. Michael; Monsignor David A. Lockard, Celebrant.
