SENFT – Sally Jane, 94, Sidman, went to be with her Lord, October 7, 2018, at Conemaugh Memorial Hospital, Johnstown. Born October 26, 1923, in Johnstown, she was the last surviving child of Ario and Sally (Eva) Fertick.
Preceded in death by parents; husband, John V. Senft Jr., who died September 22, 1999; sisters, Dora Allen; Thelma Hess; Lydia Durica; Geraldine Lautenbacher – Gzanko; Darlene Cardellino; Gloria Wyar and Joan Ober; and brothers, John; Paul; and Ario Fertick.
Survived by children, Lynn Senft, Birmingham, Alabama; David, married to Judy (Drobnick), Johnstown; Daniel, married to Patsy (Ross), Sidman; Patricia Gibson, Warren, Pennsylvania; and Sharon Mahan, Sidman; 15 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren; one great great-grandchild; and numerous other beloved family and friends.
Sally was a member of Mount Olive United Methodist Church, Sidman. She graduated valedictorian of her class at age 72 for her Personal Care Home Administrator’s License at Magnolia Manor, Florida; and continued to passionately serve others with her dedicated work in the home healthcare field until her retirement at age 84. She loved spending time with family, riding horses and making beautiful quilts. She was an inspiration to all, embraced life to the fullest and brought joy to those around her.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Charles O. Dimond Funeral Home Inc., South Fork.
Viewing will also be held at Mount Olive United Methodist Church from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. Wednesday, the Rev. Thomas Moore presiding.
Interment, Forest Lawn Cemetery.
