Robert E. Casti

CASTI – Robert E., 89, Mount Hope, died May 17, 2024. Born May 31, 1934, in Ehrenfeld, son of Massimo and Margaret (Chessa) Casti. Preceded in death by parents, granddaughter, Devon A. (Casti) Malloy; sons-in-law, Terry Morris and Tom Paterson; brothers, Michael, Joseph, James, and Larry Casti; and sister, Loretta Panick. 

Survived by children, Kim Morris-Golias, wife of Ken Golias; Robert “Butch”, married to Natalie (McCall); Sharon Paterson; and Jacqueline, wife of Tim Eppley; grandchildren, Kelly and T.J. Morris;  Alison, Taylor, and Paige Casti;  Chelsea and Braden Paterson; and Samantha, Jayme, and Dominic Eppley; seven great grandchildren; sister, Louise Wadsworth; and brother, Tom, married to Shirley (Esdinsky). 

Member of St. Michael Catholic Church, St. Michael; and graduate of South Fork Croyle High School, class of 1952. At the age of 81, he retired from the Cambria County Courthouse. Bob enjoyed golf and loved his cat, Buffy. His love for homemade pasta and vino was a celebration of his Italian heritage and a tribute to family traditions. His charisma was undeniable; and his sense of humor had a way of making life seem a little lighter, a little brighter, and a lot more fun. 

Friends will be received from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Charles O. Dimond Funeral Home, Inc., South Fork. 

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Michael Catholic Church, Father Jerzy Auguscik, OFM Conv., celebrant.
