Robert L. Beyer

BEYER – Robert L., 80, Sidman, died November 29, 2021, at Forest Hills Personal Care Home. Born July 15, 1941, in Johnstown, son of Marcellus Vincent and Anna C. (Senft) Beyer.

Preceded in death by parents, sister Anna “Jeannie” Duffy, and brothers Modestus, Vincent, Richard, and Herman Beyer.

Survived by sisters Dolores Taylor, Altoona; Martha Sedlmyer; Patricia Cochran, both of Las Vegas, Nevada; and Shirley Watanabe, Maui, Hawaii; and brother Edward Beyer, Sidman; sisters-in-law, Shirley (Smay) Beyer, and Irene (Holsopple) Beyer; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Graduate of South Fork Croyle High School, class of 1959. Member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Summerhill; and member of Knights of Columbus Council, 2275, 4th Degree member of Prince Gallitzin Assembly 0919, Loretto. He was a longtime member of the Forest Hills School Board where he served as past president. He was an all-American farmer, who spent his life in the dairy industry, pouring his heart and soul into the land he loved. His hard work and determination were an inspiration to many.

Friends will be received from 3 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, December 1, 2021, at Charles O. Dimond Funeral Home, Inc., South Fork.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday, December 2, 2021, at St. John's Catholic Church, Summerhill, Father Joseph C. Nale, celebrant.
