McCall – Richard J., “Dick,” 89, Summerhill, died August 1, 2018, at Cambria Care Center, Ebensburg. Born July 15, 1929, in Summerhill, son of Thomas and Esther (Noon) McCall.

Preceded in death by parents; brothers, Michael, Thomas, Joseph, and Patrick; and sisters, Theresa Zorn, Dorothy Henry and Kathleen Ambrose.

Survived by loving wife of 58 years, Elizabeth C. “Betty” (Wirfel) McCall, whom he married July 9, 1960; children, Tina M., wife of Corey Theys, Summerhill; Molly McCall, wife of John Harroun, Portland, Oregon; Lynne, wife of Robert Ludewig, Lancaster; Shawn, married to Tammy (Leister), Indian Lake; Kelly, wife of Michael Poborsky; Jackson Wyoming; and Brian, married to Abby (Eddinger), Reading; 10 grandchildren; 1 great granddaughter; and brother, Robert, Buffalo, New York.

Dick was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Summerhill and a US Army veteran of the Korean War. Employee of the former Keller-Irwin Optical and retired Optician from Ophthalmic Associates, Johnstown. He was also a member of American Legion Post 551, St. Michael and the GBU, Summerhill.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass which will be celebrated at noon Saturday at St. John’s Catholic Church by Father Leon Hont, OSB.

Committal, St. Marys Cemetery, New Germany.

Military graveside service by St. Michael American Legion Post 551.
