Richard C. Huber

HUBER – Richard C., 64, Summerhill Township, died June 30, 2017, at home. Born October 20, 1952, in Johnstown, son of Carl A. and Eva B. (Wirfel) Huber. Preceded in death by parents; and brothers, Charles and Edward.

Survived by loving wife of 36 years, Patti (Smetana) Huber, whom he married August 9, 1980; son, Richard S., husband of Tyler Fitzgerald, Bear, Delaware; sisters, Margy, wife of Mark Blaisdell, Wilmore; and Bernie, wife of Marlin Baumgardner, South Fork; sisters-in-law, Samilda Huber, Kathie Smetana, and Eileen, wife of Carl Eicher; and numerous nieces, nephews and other beloved family and friends.

Richard was a graduate of Bishop Carroll Catholic High School, class of 1970. Member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Summerhill. He worked for Bethlehem Steel and retired after more than 35 years of service from the Long Barn II, St. Michael. He was a member of Summerhill Fire Department and enjoyed golfing, hunting, spending time at the “A Frame,” and even found time to build his family a home.

Friends will be received from 1 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Charles O. Dimond Funeral Home, Inc., South Fork, where vigil will be held at 3:30 p.m. Sunday.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. John’s, by Fr. David Rizzo.
