DAVIS – Richard Lee, 84, Summerhill, died May 7, 2017 at UPMC Altoona. Born April 13, 1933, in Ehrenfeld, son of Robert E. and Iva J. (Hull) Davis.
Preceded in death by parents; sister, June and brother, Robert.
Survived by wife of 37 years, Shirley (Knipple) Konchan-Davis, Windber. Children of Richard and Mary Joann (Jarvie) Davis, Diane, wife of Joe Poborsky, Sidman; Cynthia, wife of David Sanders, Summerhill; Scott, married to Linda (Arnold), Somerset; Robert, married to Cindy (Shearman), Summerhill; Susan, wife of Larry Barnouski, South Carolina; Catherine, wife of Jerry Miller, Homer City; Christine, wife of Eric Botteicher, South Fork; and Barbara Fye, South Fork; 18 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; sister, Janet, Bowen, Florida; step-children, Jeff, Carrie and Amy; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Richard retired from Bethlehem Steel Corporation. He attended services at St. John Lutheran Church, Summerhill. He was an avid hunter; enjoyed fishing, hiking, and spending time with his grandchildren.
A graveside memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Friday at St. John Lutheran Cemetery, Summerhill, the Rev. Walter Startzel presiding.
