TRUSCOTT – Raymond L. “Scotty,” 79, Johnstown, passed peacefully December 18, 2024, at home, surrounded by family. Born October 9, 1945, in South Fork. Preceded in death by parents, Arthur W. and Nellie N. (Simpson) Truscott; granddaughter, Samantha Dunfee; and brothers, Earl, Meade, and David.
Survived by wife, Dorothy J. (Chapman) Truscott; daughter, Amy Lynn Rolley; grandchildren, Megan, Mandie, and Haley; 17 great grandchildren; brother, Arthur W. Truscott III; stepchildren, Tracy Nagle; Laura Reid (Donyta); and Richard Fisher (Mary); 16 step-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Scotty was a graduate of Triangle Area High School, class of 1964; and a member of Oakland Church. His faith in the Lord gave him strength, comfort, and hope. As the owner and operator of Truscott Contracting, his carpentry work highlighted his craftsmanship and attention to detail. He enjoyed the great outdoors, finding joy in fishing and camping adventures.
Friends will be received from 3 to 7 p.m. Friday at Charles O. Dimond Funeral Home, Inc., South Fork.
Visitation at the church and from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. Saturday at Wesley United Methodist Church, South Fork; Pastors Linda Freeburg and Jeremy Barkley, presiding.
Interment, South Fork Cemetery.
