PARISI – Peter J., 73, Beaverdale, died June 8, 2023. Born July 26, 1949, in Johnstown, son of the late Pio “Pete” and Violet V. (Cusimano) Parisi. Preceded in death by parents; granddaughter, Abigail Stiffler; and sister, Emma Diaz.
Survived by daughter, Christina Stiffler; son, Peter M. (Angela); beloved grandchildren, Madalynn and Maria Stiffler; and William and Isabelle Parisi; brother, Joseph (Karen); brother-in-law, Edward Diaz; and dear friend, Teresita Michalosky.
Graduate of Forest Hills High school, class of 1968 and owner of Parisi’s Garage, Sidman. He was a devout Catholic who daily sought strength and guidance through prayer. Member of St. Michael Catholic Church where he was President of the Holy Name Society, sang in the choir, and served in numerous capacities as a gifted and loving member of the laity. He truly cherished the many close friendships he cultivated and the fellowship in Christ they shared. He instilled that faith is the best foundation you can have, and being happy and having love fill your heart is what truly matters. Pete enjoyed the beauty of the Outer Banks, hunting, and bus trips to the casino. Though he refused to be defined by his disability; his hope, courage, and optimism were an inspiration to all. Not only does he walk in the presence of God now, he has rejoined those loved ones who went before him and whom he has longed to see again.
Friends will be received from 1 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Charles O. Dimond Funeral Home, Inc., South Fork.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Michael Catholic Church, Monsignor David Lockard, celebrant.
