Pauline Valko

VALKO – Pauline, 102, Sidman, formerly of Dunlo, died October 22, 2019, at Forest Hills Personal Care Home. Born February 13, 1917, in Sauderton (Adams Township), daughter of Michael and Anna (Lucas) Valko. Preceded in death by parents; brothers, John, Michael, Andrew, Joseph, Steve, George, Peter, and William; and sisters, Mary Jenkins, Helen Kudrick, and Anna Mihalick.

Survived by sister, Catherine Thrower, Dunlo; numerous nieces and nephews, and dear friends Pearl and Sue.

Member of Ss. Peter and Paul Byzantine Catholic Church, Dunlo; Dunlo Volunteer Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary, American Legion Post 573 Ladies Auxiliary, and Volunteer Fireman’s Association of Cambria County Ladies Auxiliary. Pauline was an avid Pirates and Steelers fan and enjoyed quilting.

Parastas will be sung at 4:30 p.m. Sunday followed by visitation from 5 to 8 p.m. at Charles O. Dimond Funeral Home, Inc., South Fork.

Brief service at the funeral home at 9 a.m. Monday followed by Divine Liturgy at 10 a.m. at Ss. Peter & Paul Byzantine Catholic Church, the Very Reverend Father James A. Spontak, Celebrant.

Committal, Ss. Peter & Paul Byzantine Catholic Cemetery, Dunlo.
