HAINES - Paul, “Pap,” “Jug,” 93, Tampa, Florida, native of St. Michael, left his Earthly body on October 31, 2016 to join his wife.
Born September 15, 1923, in St. Michael, son of Jacob and Martha (Beatty) Haines. Preceded in death by parents; beloved wife of 73 years, Lenora I. “Bubba,” “Babe” (Imler) Haines, who left us in eternal slumber May 30, 2007; son-in-law, Ronald Bieber; brothers, William and Harry; sisters, Mary Costlow, Pauline Wetklow, Alice Haines, Iona Glacken, Pearl Fern and Jane and Ann Miller.
Survived by daughter, Alice Bieber, Tampa, Florida; and son, Paul and wife, Joanna,
Palm Coast, Florida; 5 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and 9 great-great-grandchildren.
Paul will always be remembered for his World War II stories that he shared at family gatherings. All of us can take comfort and have joy in knowing he is now reunited with his wife and when we think of them both we can imagine him peddling her around on the bicycle he always talked about.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Charles O. Dimond Funeral Home, Inc., South Fork, where funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, the Rev. Terry Trudgen, officiating.
Interment, South Fork Cemetery.
