Paul D. Gurchik

GURCHIK – Paul D. "Don," 83, Ebensburg, passed away June 10, 2024. Born August 8, 1940, in Ehrenfeld.

Preceded in death by parents, Paul M. and Helen “June” (Fisher) Gurchik; and son, Gary Gurchik.

Survived by son, Glenn, married to Sarah (Miller), Camp Hill; grandchildren, Hanna and Isaac; and former wife, Rita (Kirkpatrick) Gurchik.

Paul’s Polish heritage provided a foundation of traditions and values that he cherished deeply. He had a lifelong love of polka dancing, and the lively tunes of polka music provided a soundtrack to many of his happiest moments. Paul dedicated countless hours to his beautifully detailed model railroads and found great joy in sharing his perfectly crafted layouts with others.

Friends will be received from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Monday June 17, at Charles O. Dimond Funeral Home, Inc., South Fork. 

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Monday June 17, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, New Germany; Father Joseph C. Nale, celebrant.
