Nancy Georgeann Margetta

MARGETTA – Nancy Georgeann, 93, Richland, passed away February 14, 2025, at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center. Born March 15, 1931, in Johnstown. Preceded in death by parents, George Byron and Miriam A. (Truscott) Gramling; and husband, Edward, who died April 16, 2011, after 45 years of marriage. 

She is survived by numerous wonderful cousins and many dear friends. Nancy graduated from South Fork Croyle High School; and attended Penn State, Cambria Rowe, and A.B.A. Banking School. She was employed by U.S. National Bank for over 35 years, where she retired as a Branch Manager. Her passion for Penn State Football defined many of her best memories. Nancy and Ed were true fans, never missing a chance to attend games and often following the team in their motorhome to away games and bowl games. It was more than just about football for them—it was about the camaraderie, the tradition, and the joy of sharing time together. In 1991 they embraced the snowbird lifestyle, spending winters in Florida. She was a proud member of the Penn State Alumni Association, the Nittany Lion Club, the Penn State Quarterback Club, Back the Lions, and Soroptimist International. A woman of deep faith she was a former member of Wesley United Methodist Church, South Fork; First United Methodist Church, Naples, Florida; and current member of Mount Hope Community Church, South Fork. 

Friends will be received at the church from 10 a.m. until time of service at noon Tuesday at Mount Hope Community Church, the Reverend Justin Rohrbaugh presiding.

Nancy always felt blessed and once wrote, “I had a wonderful life, from childhood to the end. I am very thankful for my wonderful parents and special friends. It was a good life.”
