WADSWORTH – Michael William, 38, Sidman, died November 18, 2019, at home surrounded by loving family and friends following a long and courageous battle with brain cancer. Born December 9, 1980, in Johnstown, son of William E. and Judy M. (Wirick) Wadsworth, Jr. Preceded in death by paternal grandparents, William “Earl” and Dorothy (Swartzentruver) Wadsworth, and maternal grandparents, William J. and Ruth C. (Gillman) Wirick. Survived by parents, Sidman; children, Abagail Grace and Aiden William Wadsworth, Luzerne Mines; and sister, Megan M. (Jamie) Tiffany and their children, Ariana Joy and Penn Michael Tiffany, New Hill, North Carolina. Also, aunts, uncles, numerous cousins, best friends, Jessica Mizera and Elissa Till who stood by him and helped him through his battle; and former wife, Amanda.
Michael was a member of Mount Hope UMC, South Fork. He was a 1999 graduate of Forest Hills High School and earned his associate’s degree in Forestry from Pennsylvania College of Technology.
He worked as a pipe fitter for the Plumbers and Pipefitters Union Local 354.
A lover of the great outdoors, he enjoyed hiking near and far with his friends. Above all, he loved his children who were his pride and joy.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Charles O. Dimond Funeral Home, Inc., South Fork.
Visitation at the church from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. Friday at Mount Hope United Methodist Church, the Reverend John Ciampa, presiding.
Following cremation an interment service will be held at Mount Hope Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be directed for his children’s education or to Windber Hospice.
