Michael T. McCall Sr.

McCALL - Michael T. Sr., 74, New Germany, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family, October 1, 2017, at Memorial Medical Center.

Mike was a loving husband, a treasured father, proud grandpa, and a great friend to so many. Born May 30, 1943, in Summerhill, son of Patrick E. and Helen P. (Terek) McCall. Greeted by parents; and infant brother, Joseph J. McCall.

Mike leaves behind his loving wife of 53 years, Mary Jo (Schrader) McCall, whom he married November 23, 1963; along with his most precious gifts of life, his children, Michael Jr., married to Tammy (Wissinger), Elton; Tracy, wife of Mike Wess, New Germany; Patrick, married to Pam (Colosimo), Sidman; Eric, married to Yaritza Guadalupe, Gainesville, Virginia; and Jennifer, wife of Eric Deitke, Richland; beloved grandchildren, Rick (Leah), Heather, Jared (Erica), Chelsea, Logan, Tyler, Evan, Shane, Austin, Lauren, Ayden, Lindsey and Daniel; cherished great-grandchildren, Bronsyn, Aubrey, Kobe, Briley and Brantley; and also uncles, aunts and numerous other relatives and friends.

Mike was a faithful member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. He was a graduate of South Fork Croyle High School, class of 1961 and earned his bachelor degree from St. Francis University in 1965. After high school he worked for his father-in-law at Schraders Bros. His railroad career started 1969 with Penn Central/Conrail and retired as a locomotive engineer from Norfolk Southern with 35 years of service. He was an avid Penn State, UPJ, and Forest Hills wrestling fan. He loved watching local high school sports, and could always be found cheering for his grandchildren at their sporting events and activities. He enjoyed riding his mountain bike and flying remote control airplanes; had a passion for '69 cameros, social media, his ipad and most importantly spending time with all he held dear. Mike was such an amazing, loving, and kind man, he will be so dearly missed. We all feel so blessed and honored to have shared our lives with him. So many treasured memories made; he has touched so many hearts and will always leave his impression, love for life, laughter, and a bit of blarney with us all. To everyone that loved Mike: His message would be - Stay Beautiful -Peace.

Friends will be received from 1 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Charles O. Dimond Funeral Home, Inc., South Fork, where vigil will be held.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, New Germany, by Father Leon Hont, OSB.

Committal, St. Marys Cemetery, New Germany.
