He retired as a sales manager from Prudential in 1985 where he earned his CLU and LUTC. In his spare time, he built everything you could possibly imagine with wood and stained glass. He also built 8 houses for himself and his kids. He and his wife spent over 25 winters in the Florida Keys. He was a licensed pilot and member of the Johnstown Flying Club at the Cambria County Airport. One of his favorite memories was walking part of the Appalachian Trail with his son, Tim, in 2007. Every night before going to bed, he would tell his wife of 70 years that the best thing he ever did was marry her. He was a hard worker and a good man known for his quick wit and sense of humor. He will be deeply missed by his family.

The family would like to thank Interim Hospice for their excellent care and kindness including Sandy, Martha, Jim, and Reverend Stephanie.

In lieu of flowers, please consider memorial contributions to the Mary Grace Hospice Foundation, 322 Warren Street, Johnstown, PA 15905.

Honoring his request there will be no visitation.

There will be a private service to celebrate his life at a later date.

Arrangements entrusted to Charles O. Dimond Funeral Home, Inc., South Fork.
