EVANS – Mary Jane, 78, Ebensburg, passed away peacefully at home March 17, 2020, surrounded by loving family. Born September 8, 1941, in Gallitzin, daughter of James E. and Catherine (Eckenrode) Conrad.
Preceded in death by parents; son, Ronald Francis Evans; and brother, Paul Conrad.
Survived by husband, John R. Evans, whom she married June 20, 1959; children, William J., Ebensburg; Brenda, wife of Gary Pavlosky, New Germany; Mary, wife of John Brown; Ronald J., married to Lisa Partsch; and Cary L., married to Billie Jo (Patterson); all of Ebensburg; seventeen grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren. Sister of Robert, William, Beverly Schlosser, Faber, Rose Armstrong, Ronald, Linda Bergman, Patricia Dumee, Gerald and James. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and their Altar Rosary Society. Mary Jane loved the life she and her husband created on the farm. She could always be found on a tractor helping in the fields or in the barn feeding calves. Mary Jane loved visitors, especially visits from her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Aside from working on the farm, Mary Jane loved crocheting, doing crafts and making homemade chocolates. She will be missed by all who knew her.
Due to public health concerns visitation will be private to the family.
A private Funeral Mass for immediate family will be celebrated on Thursday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, New Germany; Father Leon Hont, OSB, Celebrant. Committal, St. Marys Cemetery, New Germany.
