BERTOLINO – Mary Ann, 81, South Fork, passed away peacefully at home February 9, 2023. Born April 20, 1941, daughter of Donald J. and Rose E. (Miller) Trotter. Preceded in death by parents; daughter, Theresa L. Fleck; grandson, Kyle J. Fleck; sister, Sara Trotter; brother, Richard Trotter; nephew, Michael Bertolino; great niece, Nicole Bertolino; and in-laws, James and Martha, John and Agnes, and Peter and Catherine Bertolino.
Survived by loving husband of 63 years, Charles B. Bertolino; son, Anthony, married to Ellen (Colon), Middleton, Ohio; son-in-law, James A. Fleck, St. Michael; granddaughter, Sarah L. Fleck, married to Patrick Hayes, Paso Robles, California; grandson, Ethan Bertolino, Middleton, Ohio; brother, Larry “Jim,” married to Irene (Soltis), Holyoke, Massachusetts; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mary Ann was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church and a graduate of Adams – Summerhill High School, class of 1959. She was a supporter of the Friends of Johnstown Flood National Memorial. She was a talented seamstress, both as a profession and as an art. She made numerous beautiful quilts for her loved ones and was always repairing and hemming clothes for her grandchildren. She was known for her delicious pies and jellies, her love of both the story of Noah’s Ark and Elvis Presley, and her unending kindness and care for everyone in her life. She was a hard worker and a consistent source of joy for all lucky enough to have known her. She saw the best in everyone and had an unending faith in the goodness of this world. She was a loving sister, wife, mother, and grandmother and she was her granddaughter’s best friend.
Honoring her wishes, visitation will be private.
Friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass which will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Michael Catholic Church, Monsignor David Lockard, celebrant.
