BRUMMERT - Martha V., 93, Ehrenfeld, passed away September 7, 2017, at Hospice of Medina County, Medina, Ohio. Born July 8, 1924, in South Fork, daughter of Anthony and Mary (Gooder) Rosemas. Preceded in death by parents; husband, Curtis L. Brummert, who died April 11, 1972; sisters Helen Rosemas and Ethel Ropecka; and brothers, Joseph, Martin, George, Anthony Jr., and Leo.
Survived by daughters, Paula Brummert, South Fork; and Candace, wife of Charles Galosi, Medina, Ohio; grandchildren, Brandon, Brooklyn, New York; Bryan, Willoughby, Ohio; and Tyler, Medina, Ohio; grand dog, Abby; and many nieces and nephews.
Member of St. Bartholomew Catholic Church, Wilmore and a member of the former Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, Ehrenfeld. In her early years, she was a member of the Democratic Women's Club and Treasurer of the South Fork Volunteer Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary in the 1960's. She enjoyed listening to polka music and traveled to many polka dances in Pennsylvania, Ohio and Illinois. She loved to cook, bake, crochet and take care of her home. She enjoyed visiting with family and friends and loved to talk to her grandsons on the telephone. She also liked chatting with her friends, Anna Mae, Dorie, Lillian, Kathy and Prudi. There were many earthly angels in her life such as Paula, Candy, Charles, Jackie, Josephine, Karen and nephews, Gerry and Marty. The world is a better place because of Martha. She will be greatly missed by her loving daughters, Paula and Candy, and it gives them comfort in knowing she is finally with their father, Curtis who was the love of her life.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Charles O. Dimond Funeral Home, Inc., South Fork where vigil will be held Sunday evening.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Bartholomew Catholic Church, by Father Joseph C. Nale.
