BEYER – Marlene E., 88, Sidman, died August 23, 2019, at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center. Born December 25, 1930, in South Fork, daughter of Forrest J. and Lillian R. (Cupples) Croyle.
Preceded in death by parents; husband, Richard O. Beyer, who died December 1, 2013; son, Jody L. Beyer, infant son, Leroy J. Beyer; and brother, the Reverend Rodney J. Croyle.
Survived by sons, Richard L., Summerhill; and George, Sidman; beloved grandchildren, Andrea, wife of Tim Lochmann, Midlothian, Virginia; and Brandon, married to Angie (Garlena), Sidman; cherished great-grandson, Nicholas Owen Beyer; sister, Ellen Faye “Peg,” wife of David Engle, Torrington, Connecticut; brother, Jim and wife Lynne, Sunbury; numerous nieces and nephews; and special kitty, Leopold.
Marlene was a graduate of South Fork High School, class of 1948. She was a terrific cook; gatherings were always made special by her amazing efforts to prepare wonderful meals. She enjoyed any time she could spend with friends and family. She was a charming storyteller, an avid reader, loved music, and enjoyed keeping her mind sharp with games and puzzles.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Charles O. Dimond Funeral Home, Inc., South Fork, where funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, the Reverend Thomas Moore, presiding.
