RUSSELL – Marion Ruth, 84, Mount Hope, went to be with her Lord August 29, 2021, at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center. Born July 5, 1937, in South Fork, daughter of Oliver R. and Gladys A. (Wilson) Roberts. Preceded in death by parents; and sister, Dorothy L. Johnson.
Survived by loving husband of 63 years, Ronald Wayne Russell, whom she married August 2, 1958; sons, Rick, married to Julia (Domonkos), Mount Hope; Joel, married to Sherry (Lang), Mount Hope; Allen, married to Linda (Moose), Mineral Point; and Stephen, married to Fanlin (Wang), North Carolina; brother, Oliver “Shortie” Roberts, Ohio; twelve grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren.
Marion was a graduate of South Fork Croyle High School, class of 1955. She was a very devoted and active member of Mount Hope United Methodist Church, where she served as secretary for many years, taught Sunday School and helped in countless other ways as a gifted and loving member of the laity. She was an avid reader, enjoyed puzzles, line dancing, and sitting in the warm sun next to the pool. Her kind and gentle spirit leaves a
lasting legacy of love and gratitude in the hearts of all who knew her.
Friends will be received from 3 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Charles O. Dimond Funeral Home, Inc., South Fork.
Visitation at the church from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Mount Hope United Methodist Church, the Reverend Joseph Stains presiding.
