Marilyn L. "Sue" Hudson

HUDSON – Marilyn Louise “Sue” (Thomas), 80, Sidman, went to be with the Lord Tuesday January 14, 2020, at Windber Hospice.

Born October 24, 1939, in Sidman, daughter of Donald F. and Sophia (Turk) Thomas.

Preceded in death by parents; son, Robert James Hudson; sister, Betty J. (Thomas) Patterson; brother, John D. Thomas; and nephew, Ryan Jerome.

Survived by husband of 61 years, William Robert Hudson, whom she married June 14, 1958; daughter, Betty Dawn, wife of Warren Edwards, South Hill, Virginia; son, William Donald, engaged to Lora Miller, Glen Rock; granddaughter, Shannon Leigh Willis, engaged to Matthew Gillam, South Hill, Virginia; grandson, Robert Thomas Edwards, engaged to Bayley Stults, Columbia, Missouri; great-grandson, Dylan Ross Willis; brothers, Ronald G., married to Joanne (Ladika), Sidman; Robert A., married to Claire (Horwath), Warminster; Kenneth R., widower of Suzie (Dierling), Summerhill; sister, Melinda C., wife of Terry Jerome, St. Michael; and in-laws, Norma Thomas, Levittown; and James Patterson, St. Michael.

Marilyn was a kind and sweet soul who loved her family, cherished her friends, and adored animals. She enjoyed the simple pleasures of reading a good book and tending to her flower and vegetable gardens.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday January 16, at Charles O. Dimond Funeral Home, Inc., 621 Maple Street, South Fork, where funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday January 17, the Reverend Ed Wagner presiding.

Interment, South Fork Cemetery.
