Marie E. Tonski

TONSKI – Marie E., 88, Ehrenfeld, died October 13, 2023, at Windber Hospice. Born May 23, 1935, in Indiana, Pennsylvania; daughter of Morrie and Sylvia (Hill) Johns.

Preceded in death by parents; husband, Edward Tonski, who died February 18, 2004; daughter, Janice Tonski-Roth, son, Daniel Tonski; daughter-in-law, Michelle (Meunier) Tonski; and brothers, Royal, Harold, Richard, and Roy Johns.

Survived by children, Mark, Brian, Anthony, and Jeanette; nine grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; and sister, Doris Johns.

Marie was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church, St. Michael and South Fork American Legion Post 653, Auxiliary. She loved working with children and retired from Cambria County Head Start after 32 years of driving bus.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Charles O. Dimond Funeral Home, Inc., South Fork.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Michael Catholic Church, Fr. Brian Warchola, celebrant.

Committal, St. Marys Cemetery, New Germany.
