Marian R. Kring

KRING – Marian R., 100, Sidman, died September 18, 2021, at Forest Hills Personal Care Home. Born November 2, 1920, in South Fork, daughter of John W. and Emily (Mapstone) Thomas.

Preceded in death by parents; husband, Percy A. Kring, who died January 23, 2012; daughter-in-law, Rebecca (Stamplis) Kring; and granddaughter, Diana (Brafford) Borensik - Monte.

Survived by children, Thomas, Sidman; Marlene, wife of Frank Brafford, St. Marys, Ohio; and Robert, Sidman; grandchildren, Tom (Lisa), Frank, Emily, Stacey (Travis), Deborah, Carrie, and Tony; seventeen great-grandchildren; and eleven great great-grandchildren.

Marian was a member of Sidman United Methodist Church. She was known for her beautiful knit and crochet work and always had a project going. She and Percy loved to travel and were Florida snowbirds for more than 30 years. She enjoyed square dancing with her husband, working on puzzles, playing cards and games, and spending time with family.

Friends will be received from 9 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. Friday at Charles O. Dimond Funeral Home, Inc., South Fork.

Interment, Forest Lawn Cemetery, Johnstown.
