CHULICK – Margaretta “Peg”, 95, Richland Woods, formerly of Sidman, died September 10, 2016, at Memorial Medical Center. Born March 19, 1921, in Johnstown, the daughter of Vasile and Mary (Karcaba) Pitlanish.
Preceded in death by parents; husband, George Bernard Chulick who died Nov. 5, 1987; son Gregory; sisters, Anne Weaver, Agnes Lakatos, and Susan Pitlanish; brothers, Stephen “Steve”, and infant brother, John.
Survived by children, Georgetta, wife of Anthony Saggio, Pittsburgh; Susan and companion Ron Dreshman, Pittsburgh; Stephen, Pittsburgh; and Marietta, wife of Mark Bodenschatz, Richland; grandchildren, Suzanne, Matthew, Eric and Lauren Saggio; and Brandon, Carlie, and Timothy Bodenschatz; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Peg was a member of the former St. Michael Byzantine Catholic Church, South Fork, and of the Greek Catholic Union of the U.S.A., Beaver, PA. She was a 1939 graduate of Adams Twp. High School, and earned her beautician’s license in 1945. She served the local community as Justice of the Peace for 12 years and as a Notary Public for countless years along with Peg’s Beauty Shop in her Sidman home for over 40 years. Peg enjoyed crocheting, making candy, baking (especially her famous nutrolls), feeding people and gardening. Most of all she loved spending time with her family and grandchildren.
Friends will be received from 5 to 9 p.m. Monday at Charles O. Dimond Funeral Home, Inc., South Fork, where Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, by Rev. Fr. James Spontak. Entombment, Grandview Mausoleum.
