Margaret E. Rhoads

RHOADS – Margaret E., 95, Portage, formerly of St. Michael, went to be with the Lord, July 19, 2019, at home. Born November 5, 1923, in South Fork, daughter of Jacob C. and Anna V. (Emeigh) Bailey.

Preceded in death by parents; husband, Vearl D. Rhoads, who died February 16, 1996; sisters, Sarah Smay, Marie Rigel, and Ruby Costlow; brothers, George and Charles; and sons-in-law, William Brunnett and John Croyle.

Survived by daughter, Shirley Ann Brunnett, Bedford; Audrey Jean, wife of Richard Wilkinson, South Fork; Betty, wife of Daniel Croyle, St. Michael; Patty, wife of Donald McGee, Boswell; and Robert D., married to Roberta (Nelson), South Fork; partner and companion, Harry “Tex” Evans, Portage; ten grandchildren; numerous great and great-great grandchildren; and sister, Irene Green, Portage.

Margaret was a former member of St. Michael United Methodist Church and also attended Sidman United Methodist Church. She enjoyed fishing, gardening, and spending time with her family.

Friends will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at Charles O. Dimond Funeral Home, Inc., South Fork, where funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, the Rev. Ed Wagner presiding.

Interment, Mount Hope Cemetery.
