BRUNNET – Margaret F., 88, McLean, Virginia; formerly of Sidman, went to be with the Lord August 6, 2022. Born June 8, 1934, in Croyle Township, daughter of William H. and Dorothy E. (Bodenschatz) Haddon. Preceded in death by parents; husband, Andrew “Abe Lincoln” Brunnet, who died, April 27, 1995; sisters, Gertrude Coleman-Wirfel, Ruth Bunn, and Dorothy Neff; and brothers, Robert Herman, and William.
Survived by son, William A., married to Mary (McClemens), Portage; daughters, Dr. Sally J., wife of William Cram Jr., McLean, Virginia; Lisa, wife of Kevin Singer, Johnstown; and Lori, wife of Jeff Shinton, Centreville, Virginia; grandchildren, Heather, Brian (Jessica), and Brittany (Dan); nine great grandchildren; sisters, Elizabeth Hollen, Ashville; Bernetta Martin, Beaverdale; and Sara Marchant, Marion, Alabama; brother, the Reverend James E., married to Naomi (Heidler), Johnstown; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Margaret was a graduate of South Fork Croyle High School, class of 1951. She was a devoted and active member of Mount Olive United Methodist Church, Sidman. Longtime bookkeeper and secretary for Holiday Loan; and together with her husband she owned and operated Brunnet’s Greenhouse. She was also active with the Buckhorn Grange and served on the Mount Olive Cemetery Committee for many years.
Friends will be received from 1 p.m. until time of service at 5 p.m. Saturday August 13, at Charles O. Dimond Funeral Home, Inc., South Fork, the Reverend Jon C. Gulnac presiding.
