Lucy C. Krug

KRUG – Lucy C., 86, New Germany, passed away May 29, 2024, at home, surrounded by family. Born October 22, 1937, in Loretto, daughter of Joseph Gordon and Lucinda (Miller) Trexler. Preceded in death by parents; husband, Robert J. Krug, who died June 22, 1997; grandson, Joseph Gordon Krug, Jr.; sisters, Agnes Ratcliffe and Rosetta Hines; and brothers, Joseph and John Trexler.

Survived by children, David Krug; Mary Ann, wife of Timothy Papcunik; J. Gordon Krug, Sr.; Joan, wife of Jeff Brummert; Donald Krug; Paula, wife of Eric Johnson; Janet Krug; Raymond, married to Rosanne (Lee); and Annette, wife of George Scanlan; 21 grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren; 2 step grandchildren; and 2 step great grandchildren; sisters, Edna Eckenrode and Pauline Knee; and numerous nieces and nephews. 

Member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and their Altar Rosary Society. Mom’s home was always filled with the comforting aroma of freshly baked bread. She enjoyed trips to the casino, as well as the camaraderie and competition of her bowling leagues. She was a member of the Calico Quilters Club, creating many beautiful quilts over the years. Her adventurous spirit took her on travels far and wide, yet she always cherished visits with family and friends.

Friends will be received from 3 to 9 p.m. Friday at Charles O. Dimond Funeral Home, Inc., South Fork. 

Rosary at the church at 10:30 a.m. Saturday. 

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday at Immaculate Conception, Father Joseph C. Nale, celebrant.
