VALKO – Lorraine E., 93, Dunlo, died May 20, 2016 at Arbutus Park Manor. Born May 6, 1923, in Dunlo, daughter of George and Greta (Hesketh) Smith.
Preceded in death by parents; beloved husband of 59 years, William Valko, who died May 5, 2004; son-in-law, Mack Duplaga; and brother, Matthew Smith.
Survived by children, Sharon Duplaga, Parma Heights, Ohio; William, married to Pamela (Lydic), South Fork; Lynne Valko; Leesburg, Virginia; Linda, wife of Gordon Pribyl, Wheat Ridge, Colorado; and Peter, married to Theresa (Glovany), Richland; 13 adored grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren; sister, Phyllis Negrey, Jeffersonville, Indiana; sisters-in-law, Pauline Valko, Catherine Thrower, and Betty L. (Wilson) Smith; all of Dunlo; dear friend, Marion Guinard, Dunlo; and numerous other special family and friends.
Lorraine was a devoted and active member of Dunlo United Methodist Church. She worked as a teacher’s aide for the Forest Hills School District for many years. She enjoyed traveling and cherished spending time with family. Her family and friends will hold dear memories of a loving, kind and generous woman who was full of life, laughter and love.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Charles O. Dimond Funeral Home, Inc., South Fork.
Viewing will also be held at Dunlo United Methodist Church from 9 a.m. until time of funeral service at 10 a.m. Monday, the Rev. Earl Butterfield, officiating.
Interment, Ss. Peter & Paul Byzantine Cemetery, Dunlo.
