Lois J. Myers

MYERS – Lois J., 90, South Fork, died January 28, 2025. Born June 5, 1934, in Johnstown. Preceded in death by parents, John and Violet (Keiper) Goughnour; an infant son, granddaughter, Melissa Myers; sister, Nancy Kring; brother, Rodney; and daughter-in-law, Marilynn Myers.

Survived by husband of 71 years, Arlo Myers, whom she married March 15, 1953; sons, Guy, married to Wendy (Miller); David, married to Carol (Kuhne); and Mark, married to Diana (Durica); daughter, Arla, wife of Bernie Smay; 8 grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren. 

Lois was a graduate of Conemaugh High School, class of 1952. As a teacher at Fulton Piano and Organ Company, Lois shared her passion for music and helped her students find their own rhythm and style. She was also an exceptional cook and baker, creating delicious meals and sweets. The notes of her life exemplified grace, patience, and dedication. May we continue to share her love for music, her kindness, and her generosity.

Honoring her wishes, there will be no visitation or services. Interment, Richland Cemetery. Arrangements by Charles O. Dimond Funeral Home, Inc., South Fork.
