Linda C. Costlow

COSTLOW – Linda Catherine (Paxton), 60, Johnstown, died February 20, 2024. Born January 1, 1964, in Johnstown, daughter of Donald Irvin Sr. and Amehlia Cora (Gaunt) Paxton. Preceded in death by parents, husband, David A. Costlow, who died June 11, 2023; and sister, Mary Elia, who died February 9, 2024.

Survived by son, James Warner and partner, Nathan Schlusser; her stepchildren, Melody Steele, Jacob Smithbower, George A. Smithbower Jr. and wife, Donna; her brothers, Donald I. Paxton Jr., Daniel W. Paxton and wife, Judy; her nephews, Russel C. Elia and wife, Shannon, James A. Elia and wife, Janina, Dominick J. Elia; and her niece, Wendy Maybin. 

Linda had a gentle nature and caring heart, which served her well in her career as a dedicated nurse aide for Bucks County Neshaminy Manor and the Lutheran Home. She spent countless hours after work and on her days off spending time with residents she felt fond of at her work.  She was an animal lover and enjoyed spending time with her many schipperkes through out her life.  She was a collector of frogs, Indian dolls, and jewelry. She loved the beach and going on adventures.  

Friends will be received from 9 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. Monday February 26, 2024, at Charles O. Dimond Funeral Home, Inc., South Fork. Interment, Benshoff Hill Cemetery, Johnstown.
