BOPP – Leo C., 89, Mineral Point, went to be with the Lord, October 16, 2024, at home surrounded by family. Born August 30, 1935, in Mineral Point. Preceded in death by parents; Leo and Clara (Meier) Bopp; son, Kenneth; grandson, Mark; infant sister, Delores Bopp; sisters, Cecelia Freeman, Dorothy Gabany, Pearl Quashnie, Bertha Potter, Frances Gulino, and Marion Russo; brothers, Frank, Walter, and Raymond; and former wife, Sarah Louise (McClellan) Dukery.
Survived by daughter, Debra Lynn Bopp; sons, Joseph, Randy, and Robert; sister, Clara Fleck; numerous beloved grandchildren and great grandchildren; and special great granddaughter, Chloe.
Leo worked for Bethlehem Steel and Allegheny Belting. He loved gardening, growing everything from beets to zucchini. He had a wonderful sense of humor and a knack for practical jokes. He was a wonderful father, teaching us to plant our own seeds of kindness and laughter along the way.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday and from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. Saturday at Charles O. Dimond Funeral Home, Inc., South Fork, the Reverend Randy Landman, presiding.
Interment, Ford Cemetery, Mineral Point.
