KLEIN – LaVonne R., 72, Mount Hope, went to be with the Lord August 31, 2019, at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center.
Born March 5, 1947, in Lakeland, Minnesota; daughter of Albert J. and Carol D. (Mack) Thron.
Preceded in death by parents; daughter, Mary Ann Mazzarese; son, Norman E. Klein; granddaughter, Courtney; and daughter-in-law, Kimberly (Grindstaff) Klein.
Survived by loving husband of 42 years, Evan J. Klein, whom she married August 15, 1977; sons, Larry, Chesapeake, Virginia; and Dean, married to Sarah (Grimm), Spokane, Washington; daughter, Wendy, wife of Greg Schrock, Summerhill; grandchildren, Nicholas, Zachary, and Evan Klein, and Jordan and Joshua Schrock; brother, Richard Thron, and wife Pat; sister Shirley Williams, and husband Ken; and dear friends, Jean Wichelman, Lois Pavina, and Shirley Myers.
LaVonne was a member of Mount Hope United Methodist Church. She was a wonderful cook and loved sharing her delicious bakes goods with family and friends. She enjoyed collecting bears and souvenir spoons and was known for her beautiful crochet work. Her warm smile and gentle and loving spirit will be missed by all who knew her.
Friends will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Charles O. Dimond Funeral Home, Inc., South Fork.
Visitation at the church from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. Thursday at Mount Hope United Methodist Church, the Reverend Joseph Stains presiding.
Interment, Mount Hope Cemetery.
