WINGARD – L. Marie, 84, Salix, was called home to the Lord, Friday, May 24, 2024. Born August 20, 1939, in Long Run, West Virginia; daughter of the Reverend Boyd W. Sr. and Jetta M. (Mayle) Scott. Preceded in death by parents; husband, Jay O. Wingard, who died November 1, 2016; and brothers, Boyd Jr. and Lawrence Scott.
Survived by children, Randall (Amy); Renee (Terry) Seese; Robin (Kurt) Barclay; and Ryan; beloved grandchildren, Jaylene (Jake) Utz, Erica (Brian) Ditzler, Katelyn (Ryan) Perkosky, Austin (Ashlee) Seese, Gabrielle (Nathan) Mavrich, Bryce Barclay, and Jetta Barclay; six great grandchildren; sister, Helen Jo (Eugene) Peters; in-laws, Shirley and Sharon, Patricia Rosey, and Jack Wingard; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other beloved family and friends.
Marie had an unwavering faith in her Lord. Her love for her family was unconditional and boundless, we were blessed with a home overflowing with warmth, laughter, and love. She believed deeply in the value of hard work. And she touched the lives of everyone she met with her gentle spirit and selfless heart; inspiring those around her to be more considerate and caring.
Friends will be received from 3 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Charles O. Dimond Funeral Home, Inc., South Fork. Visitation at the church from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. Friday at Maple Grove Church, Salix.
Interment, Forest Lawn Cemetery.
