Kenneth Paul Burkey

BURKEY – Kenneth Paul, 70, Salix, formerly of Vinco; died November 14, 2020 at home. Born August 7, 1950, in Johnstown, son of Ross A. and Georgina “Jean” (Ribblet) Burkey.

Preceded in death by parents, brothers, Larry and Mark; and sister, Angela Poborski.

Survived by loving wife of 44 years, Marilynn (Miller) Burkey; son, Shawn P., married to Danielle (Garneau), Altoona; grandchildren, Owen Vasas and Benjamin Burkey; sister, Ann Burkey, Johnstown; in-laws, Gary Miller, Sidman; Sherry, wife of Mike Keenan, Winchester, Virginia; Clarence Smith, Winchester, Virginia; and Delores Miller, Salix; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Ken was a graduate of Conemaugh Valley High School, class of 1969 and was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He was known as a talented craftsman who specialized in furniture restoration and repair.

Friends will be received from 10 a.m. until time of funeral service at noon Tuesday at Charles O. Dimond Funeral Home, Inc., 621 Maple Street, South Fork; the Reverend Don Poole presiding.
