WITHEROW - Judith E. “Judy,” 70, Roanoke County, Virginia, formerly of Johnstown, Pennsylvania and Campobello, South Carolina died May 17, 2016, following a long illness.
Born Oct. 11, 1945 in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, daughter of the late William A. and Elma I. Bowser Adams.
She was a nurse, enjoyed sewing, and was a devout Catholic and faithful a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Salem, Virginia.
Survived by her husband of 50 years, Richard C. Witherow; daughters and sons-in-law, Teresa and Robert Fisher of Johnstown, Pennsylvania; and Christina & Scott Harlow of Troutville; Virginia; grandchildren, Nicole Fisher, Michael Fisher, Benjamin Fisher, Nathan Fisher, Gabriel Harlow, and Tatumn Harlow; and brother, William “Skip” Adams, Jr. of Alabama.
Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Charles O. Dimond Funeral Home, Inc., South Fork, Pennsylvania.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Gregory Catholic Church, Daisytown, Pennsylvania, by Father Robert L. Ruston.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure, 4910 Valley View Blvd NW #212, Roanoke, VA 24012.
