LEVENTRY – Judith A. “Judy,” 77, Salix, died December 22, 2023. Born January 9, 1946, in Johnstown; daughter of the late Ray T. and Emma C. (Ross) Stormer.
Survived by beloved husband of 56 years, Donald G. Leventry, whom she married May 6, 1967; children, Matthew (Lori Kolat); Dawn (Mike Shirey); and John (Stacey Lavely); grandchildren, Kelsey (Terrence), Kayla (Mason), Tanner, Tyler, Jenna, and Zachary; and sisters, Joyce (Lester “Bill” Schlosser); Joette Ivory; and Jennifer (Dan Townsend).
Graduate of Triangle Area High School, class of 1963. Judy was a member of Dunlo Methodist Church. She cherished time spent with family. And “She loved books. She loved them with her senses and her intellect. The way they looked and smelled; the way they felt in her hands; the way the pages seemed to murmur as she turned them. Friends will be received from 3 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, December 27, 2023, and from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. Thursday, December 28, 2023 at Charles O. Dimond Funeral Home, Inc., South Fork.
Nurtured and loved in these Pennsylvania hills, she will be laid to rest amongst family at Mount Olive Cemetery in Sidman at a later date.
