CASTORINA – Josephine S., 103, St. Michael, died February 4, 2021, at Rose of Sharon Home. Born May 7, 1917, in Ruthford, daughter of Michael and Agnes H. (Yadrich) Rosman-Salargo.
Preceded in death by parents; first husband, John S. Pcola; second husband, Frank J. Castorina; son, John M. Pcola Sr.; sisters, Catherine Rusciano, Mabel Lapanja, Anna Myers, and Mary Imhoff; brothers, Louis Rosman and Michael Salargo; and grandson-in-law, Erick Snellman.
Survived by grandchildren, John M. Pcola Jr., Wilmington, North Carolina; Mary Jo Snellman, Woodbine, Maryland; Pamela Marie Hostetler, Wilmington North Carolina; and Jeffrey A. Pcola (Maria); Bedford, Pennsylvania; great-grandchildren, Steven, Cody, Meagan, Abby, Samantha, Chance, Logan, and Brooke; great great-grandchildren, Autumn, Harper, Lyla, Lorena, and Jocelyn; and numerous nieces and nephews she loved and cherished.
Member of St. Michael Catholic Church, St. Michael. Josephine was a hairdresser and owned her own shop in New Kensington, Pennsylvania; where she coined the phrase "If your hair isn't becoming to you, then you should be coming to us!” Josephine had such a zest for life and a "never give up" attitude! She loved family, food, fun, music, and dancing. She will be greatly missed by family and friends. Laku Noc' Volim Te Grandma....... Good Night....We love you!
Friends will be received from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday at Charles O. Dimond Funeral Home, Inc., South Fork.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Michael Catholic Church, Monsignor David Lockard Celebrant.
