YOUNG – John Morgan, 86, Johnstown, died July 29, 2018, at home surrounded by love. Born August 31, 1931, in Akron, Ohio; son of James and Queen (Kelly) Young; and lovingly raised by Garland and Myra (Thomas) Young of South Fork.
Preceded in death by both sets of parents, nine brothers, two sisters, and grandson, Shaun Young.
Survived by his wife of 58 years, Eileen (Myers) Young;
children, Myra (Ken) Stoudt, Coopersburg, Penn.; Terry Young, Fort Walton Beach, Florida; and Kelli Young, Palmyra, Penn.; grandchildren, Rachel (Peter) Kalbach, Red Hill, Penn.; Ross Young, Lancaster, Penn.; Jason and Zachary Young, Fort Walton Beach, Florida; and Olivia Young, Palmyra, Penn.; great granddaughters, Madison, Kendra, Haley, Alexis and Jocelyn Kalbach; sister-in-law, Suzanne, wife of Boyd Neff, Mt. Pleasant, Penn.; and many nieces and nephews.
He was a US Army Veteran of the Korean War, a retiree of Bethlehem Steel, and a faithful member of Mount Hope United Methodist Church, South Fork. John enjoyed trains, watching Penn State and Forest Hills football, fishing, and was an avid tropical fish hobbyist and lover of nature. He dearly loved spending time with his family and children of all ages.
Family and friends are welcome to a Celebration of Life service which will be held at Mount Hope United Methodist Church, South Fork, at 2 p.m. Sunday, August 12, the Rev. Joseph Stains presiding. Private inurnment with Military rites by St. Michael American Legion Post 551. Arrangements by Charles O. Dimond Funeral Home Inc., South Fork.
